Tingalin iPhone App
Posted by Régis Gaidot | Filed under Discovery, fun
If you enjoy string instruments such as the guitar, banjo, setar, sitar, oud, and other lutes then you will love this app!
Tingalin is a unique music application based on the Albanian lute Çifteli (meaning “pair of strings”). This unique application is a lot of fun! Five melodies are preloaded to make you look like a pro right away! With the upcoming version 1.4 you gain the ability to share your melodies via email with your friends. Tingalin is played by tapping the 14 notes on the instruments handle.
Each note is recorded in the tab and the entire melody is played by shaking the device, as if strumming the real instrument. Each strum up and down (meaning shake of the phone) a note is played.
Tempo is controlled by the frequency of your strumming! Tuning can be adjusted to your prefered pitch using the slider control +/- 1 octave. This application is available on iTune Store.

RjDj Shake creates soundtrack to your life based on your movements with IPhone or iPod Touch
Posted by Régis Gaidot | Filed under Discovery, fun
The RjDj team has released a followup to its original app called RjDj Shake. This application has a similar purpose, using external input to dynamically generate music. But instead of using sound, Shake relies on the iPhone or iPod Touch accelerometer to adjust the audio any time the phone senses movement. Each song responds to movement in a different way, some scenes are designed for passive movement, playing tiny bells whenever you take a step, while others are meant to be used when you’re jumping, dancing, or waving your iPhone around. You can also record your songs for future listening. This application is available on iTune Store.

RjDj a dynamic generator soundtrack for your life
Posted by Régis Gaidot | Filed under Discovery, fun
RjDj uses sensory input to generate and control the music you are listening to. The interface is very much like the ipod application. It features an RjDj Player, an RjDj scene browser and a browser of your recordings. The difference to an mp3 player is that RjDj uses sensory input of the iphone to control or generate the music you hear through the headphones. Some scenes react on sound input and others on accelerometer data and some on both. This means that what you hear sounds different wherever you are listening to it and whatever you do. A scene is only defining the behavior of the composition not necessarily what you hear. This application is available on iTune Store.
