The nest that sailed The Sky
Posted by Régis Gaidot | Filed under Uncategorized
This video Glenn Marshall’ve done for Peter Gabriel. It’s made in with an open source programming language and environment – Processing.
Glenn Marshall rendered out each sequence for the entirety of the song’s duration. The shapes of the vines and positions of the sprites are exact for each sequence, this allowed his to dissolve each sequence at any point from one into another and maintain a natural looking transition. In post production, through simple dissolves, He could experiment with and craft together a visual narrative that changed with musical cues in the song.
Nice rendered!

Daft Punk vs. Adam Freeland – ‘Aer OBAMA’
Posted by Régis Gaidot | Filed under Discovery, fun
The following is a mixed-media stop motion music video and celebration commemorating the election and inauguration of Barack Obama as the forty-fourth president of these United States. Audibly showcasing Adam Freeland’s remix of Daft Punk’s “Aerodynamic” and the imaginative stylings of forward thinking toy artists Dalek, Bill McMullen and Kubrick to name just a few. Independently animated and directed by the progressive minds of the directing team GOLD, the piece is a labor of love that invites everyone to join in or create their own celebration this coming Tuesday January the 20th.
